exile recording studios

The studio in EXILE is a place where analog recording equipment is alive and well.....and in use daily. The studio is based around a custom 80 series discrete Neve console built in 1976. The outboard racks are full of tube equipment from the 50's and 60's, discrete transitor equipment from the 70's, modern boutique equipment, and funky FX. And in the live room you'll find the best of instruments being recording through our extensive vintage microphone collection. We take pride in keeping our gear in top condition so everything from the largest tube limiter to the crappiest guitar pedal is regularly maintained.

Recent projects in the studio: Mike Wexler, Melanie Moser, Spider (Jane Herships), Charles Burst, EFFI BRIEST, Martha Colburn, Sahra Motalebi, Niki Barr, The Little Willies, The Occasion, Bad Brains.

We are working on a new website with lots of pictures, technical info, and useful bits but in the meantime please enjoy some picures of the various incarnations of the studio over the years or check out our GEAR LIST.
